About the Role
As a Pool Lifeguard, you will work closely with the Aquatic Centre Coordinator and Team Leaders to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our Council Swimming Pools. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising pool patrons to ensure their safety and enjoyment of the facilities.
- Applying Council's adopted Swimming Pool Operations Manual and NSW Government Practice Note 15 - Water Safety guidelines.
- Performing lifeguard, rescue, and first aid duties as required.
- Assisting with the monitoring and maintenance of swimming pool plant and equipment.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of facilities, including gardens, pool grounds, and amenities.

About You
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals passionate about water safety and customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and is committed to ensure a enjoyable swimming experience, and maintaining a safe environment for all pool patrons. The ideal candidate should have:
- First Aid Certificate (including CPR)
- A current NSW Working With Children Check.
- A Pool Lifeguard Skill Set (SISSS00111) or willingness to obtain this qualification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing situations.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
Experience in a lifeguarding role or similar would be advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided.
