Civil Construction & Maintenance Cadet
Camden Council in partnership with the NSW Government is offering a Civil Construction & Maintenance Cadet position as part of the 'Fresh start for Local Government Apprentices, Trainees and Cadets' Program.
SALARY: $803.30 - 1,194.60 pw + Super
Work Type: Temporary Full Time up to 2 years, commencing early 2025
Location: Works Depot - 5 Millwood Avenue, Narellan 2567

The Civil Construction & Maintenance Cadetship within our Civil Construction and Maintenance branch offers the chance to gain valuable on-the-job training while completing an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management or related qualification. A great way to kick-start a successful career!
The successful cadet will work under direction to complete minor projects and gain experience in investigations, design review, project management, construction and maintenance, operations and other activities associated with the provisions of engineering services in local government.

Essential:
- Completed a minimum of 2 years of an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management or related qualification
- Well-developed oral and written skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to liaise with staff and the community
- Demonstrated ability to apply EEO, WHS and ethical principles and to act with probity at all times
Desirable:
- General knowledge of Civil Engineering or Project Management
- Understanding of Local Government
