Procurement Advisor

 

  • Salary $91,656.76 to $106,322.32 p/a + super 
  • Permanent full time position – 35 hours per week
  • Work from Home (WFH) options / Flexible Working Arrangements

 

About Ku-ring-gai Council

Located 16 km’s north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km2, is home to 124,000 residents and set in one of New South Wales’ most attractive natural environments.

 

Reporting to the Manager Procurement & Contracts, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the end-to-end procurement process using best practice and judgment to make decisions on procurement and contract-related activities
  • Provide advice on procurement and contract management-related matters
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Assist with preparing and reviewing written material, including reports, contracts and procurement documentation
  • Provide training and advice for Council staff in procurement, tendering and contract management
  • Maintain effective and co-operative communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with Council policies, procedures and applicable legal requirements

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) for NSW Local Government or relevant work related qualifications and experience
  • Class C Driver’s licence
  • Experience in  Local Government or related field
  • Experience in tender and contract preparation in accordance with Local Government legislative requirements or equivalent
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
