About The Role
The Governance Coordinator ensures the effective delivery of services aligned with the Council's Governance Framework. This role involves mentoring team members, establishing collaborative relationships with stakeholders, driving strategic improvements in governance processes and promoting a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Key responsibilities include managing the Secretariat function, leading change initiatives and assisting with the management and oversight of elements of the Governance Framework, including Councils policies and delegations, Codes of Conduct, Fraud & Corruption Prevention, Public Interest Disclosures and Legislative Compliance.
Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will possess a blend of educational qualifications and practical experience in governance and public administration.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in governance, business administration, local government, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks in a public sector setting.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing at various levels within the organisation.
The candidate should be a proactive leader who fosters teamwork and exemplifies the values of our Council while driving performance and accountability within the team.

- Package: $104,345 - $122,876 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full-Time 35 hours per week with option of 19-day month with flex-time arrangement.
