The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a conscientious individual to operate, control, and report on the performance of treatment facilities and environmental monitoring requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Strategic Business Plan objectives.
As a Treatment Plant Operator, you will undertake sewage treatment and water treatment operations including minor maintenance activities. You will also assist with the development and implementation of techniques and methods of process control which increase plant performance and efficiency. As part of a highly effective team, you will provide input to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for submission to the Manager | Water and Sewer Services.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds the following qualifications and licences;
- Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (NWP 30215) or equivalent level qualifications suitable to the role
- General Construction Induction (White Card)
- Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Demonstrated practical experience and capability in water treatment and/or sewage treatment operations and maintenance. (Indicative three (3) years' experience).
- Ability to operate minor plant including lifting equipment (less than three tonne).
- Knowledge of the NSW Government Regulatory environment associated with sewage treatment and drinking water treatment.
- Well-developed written, verbal and computer literacy skills in the interpretation of engineering plans, specifications and quality systems.
Benefits
Theis is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position is $74,730.42 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $1,288.90 per week base salary
- $148.22 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
