Responsibilities

  • Perform daily open space maintenance tasks, ensuring the park is always well-presented
  • Carry out routine cleaning duties throughout the park, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for visitors, including the toilets
  • Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment
  • Assist with other park maintenance tasks as required
  • Ensure safe work practices are always followed, with the correct use of plant and equipment, Personal Protective Equipment, and adherence to WHS requirements and Safe Work Method Statements

 

The successful candidate will have

  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card) 
  • Demonstrated experience working within a garden maintenance crew and cleansing duties
  • Experience in providing maintenance services and a demonstrated ability to be accountable for agreed work methods, standard and outcomes
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of plant and/or various equipment common to cleansing, parks, trees, civil construction and/or trades maintenance
  • Understanding of and commitment to WHS practices and EEO principles
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Appropriate written and oral communication skills
