We are looking for caring, nurturing and creative educators to join Sandhills Early Childhood Centre (Sandhills Early Childhood Centre - Byron Shire Council).

We are looking for:

Sandhills Early Childhood Centre is a council-operated 59-place centre in the heart of Byron Bay with natural and welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces abundant with trees, wildlife, garden beds, rockeries and grassed areas. 

We are looking for exceptional Early Childhood Educators (Certificate 3 and Diploma qualified) to assist in delivering a nurturing, creative, engaging, and intentional program that enhances children’s learning and development, strengthens partnerships with families and aligns with the National Quality Framework.

We have part-time permanent and part-time 12 month temporary positions available, as well as casual positions.  

You will:

  • work with a team of exceptional educators to implement the daily program in line with the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning framework
  • receive the Federal Government’s early childhood worker retention payment (additional 10% of the base Children’s Services award rate)
  • be paid between $29.82/hour and $38.24/hour (based on experience and qualifications) plus the worker retention payment of about $3/hour
  • be eligible for flexible working arrangements
  • be eligible for 11.5% superannuation, access to long service leave, education training support, salary packaging, fitness passport, employee assistance
