About the opportunity
We have a rapidly expanding Greenspace Services section with numerous recreational facilities, with the growth of the North West Growth Sector.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals to work within small teams to maintain our parks and reserves in accordance with service level requirements and schedules.
You will be responsible for the mowing, weeding, cleaning and litter collection of our parks, reserves, and other public greenspace areas.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in maintaining public open space areas and public assets including parks and reserves, nature strips, sports fields, etc
- Class C driver’s licence.
Desirable:
- Class MR driver’s licence
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Traffic Controller accreditation
- Chemical application accreditation
- Chainsaw accreditation
- Available to work reasonable amount of overtime as required.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,156.81 per week
- 38-hour working week
- Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
