The Childcare Assistant is dedicated to playing a crucial role in the care and education of a group of children, working closely with the team leader to create a nurturing atmosphere. The Childcare Assistant is passionate about fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for children's growth and development in an enriching environment. Opportunities for personal development as part of this supportive team will be available. As the ideal candidate for this role, you will bring a genuine passion for nurturing and stimulating early learning, understanding its profound impact on a child's development. Your enthusiasm for collaborative teamwork will shine through as you work harmoniously within our facility, meeting the diverse needs of both children and their families. Your commitment to creating a positive and supportive environment aligns with our mission, making you an essential contributor to the well-being and growth of the young minds in our care.

You'll work with a great team to:

  • Nurture children’s learning and well-being in accordance with current theories and industry practice
  • Ensure all necessary duties are completed in the required time frame


What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III level education and care qualification or higher
  • Have a passion for nurturing and stimulating early learning
  • Demonstrated ability to relate well to children
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child development
  • Working With Children Check

We would also love you to have:

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Experience programming for children 0-5 years of age
  • Proven experience in working as part of a team
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised and under direction

This position offers an attractive casual rate of $33.17 per hour PLUS an additional 25% casual loading.
