Your Position:
Burwood Council is seeking a dedicated People & Culture Advisor to join our team on a maximum term contract for up to 14 months. In this role, you will support all aspects of the employee life cycle, from recruitment to onboarding and learning and development. You will serve as the first point of contact for employees and management on People and Culture inquiries.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:-
- Supporting the People and Culture team in managing employee relations, pay, workers' compensation, learning and development, and onboarding and exiting processes
- Providing timely and accurate first level advice to managers and employees regarding the Local Government State Award 2023, legislation, and People and Culture policies and procedures
- Maintaining Human Resource Information Systems and processes, while managing People and Culture records
- Administering the recruitment process
- Assisting team members in developing and delivering training workshops and organisational programs.
To be successful in this role you will have:-
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in organisational development, human resources or learning and development
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of human resources information management systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High-level time management and prioritisation skills
Key Requirements:
- COVID 19 vaccination for all employees (2 Vaccines)
- Willingness to complete a National Police History Check
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment health assessment
