The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an energetic individual to provide day-to-day operational support and oversight for the operations of the BVCCC.

As Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre Venue Assistant, you will assist with all BVCCC venue enquiries and operations as well as market the BVCCC services to the community and to regional stakeholders. You will assist with the preparation of rosters and the allocation of casual staff, as required, in line with venue hire and Bega Valley Shire Council policies and procedures.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds the following qualifications:

  • Certificate III qualification relevant to the position
  • NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • HLTAID003 - Provide First Aid (Unit of Competency)

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Demonstrated ‘hands-on’ experience in all aspects of venue administration including functions, bar operations, meetings and oversight of casual staff. Three (3) years’ experience (indicative).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, organisational and time management skills.
  • Levels of physical fitness to be able perform operational tasks including venue set up and pack down.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft office programs and venue management software.

Benefits

This is a permanent full time position working 35 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $77,293.14 gross per annum, comprising of:

  • $1,333.10 per week base salary
  • $153.31 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
