Temporary Role until March 2026
Offering up to28 hours a week
Salary Range: $55.46 - $64.45 per hour + 11.5% Superannuation

The Role
The Financial Accountant (Contributions) assists in the development of financial reporting systems and financial reports that meet best practice and satisfy both external and internal obligations. The position is also required to prepare Council’s annual financial statements in accordance with legislative requirements and ensure the integrity of Council’s ledgers.
Essential Criteria
- Degree in Finance or Business (Accounting Major).
- Thorough knowledge of relevant Accounting Standards and related legislation.
- Proven experience in a range of accounting and financial reporting procedures and practices.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to prioritise and complete tasks efficiently and to agreed timeframes.
- Demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
- National Police Check
- Current Drivers Licence (Class C)
