Wellington Caves is looking for a dynamic and energetic team member to deliver exceptional tourism experiences! You’ll lead engaging cave tours, provide top-notch hospitality at our café, and help maintain our unique, award-winning visitor centre—an exciting hub for education, history, and conservation. With on-site training provided, we’re looking for someone with a positive, bubbly demeanour, logical problem solving, and a love for public speaking. Whether you're guiding visitors through stunning caves or serving up a perfect coffee, you'll thrive in a multifaceted, fast-paced role with a supportive team. This one-of-a-kind role aims to make every visitor’s experience unforgettable,where your passion for people and nature can shine through.

You'll work with a great team to:

  • Present
    interactive engaging guided tours of the Wellington Caves as scripted in a
    friendly, inclusive manner
  • Provide Customer Services to maximise the customers experience and satisfaction
  • Ensure point of sale and cash handling transactions are completed correctly and in an efficient manner
  • Provide
    a quality café experience in service delivery of products offered through the
    Kiosk and/or Café
  • Provide
    administration support as directed by Operations Coordinator or Team Leader


What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Moderate computer skills and competency in the use of Microsoft based software packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Public speaking capability and/or previous Tour Guiding experience
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment and understanding to providing quality customer service
  • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in working under competing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability in working in a team

We would also love you to have:

  • Experience in tourism and/or hospitality industry
  • Experience in a café and/or food service industry

This position offers an attractive hourly rate of $29.15 plus 25% casual loading. Penalty rates will apply to hours worked on a Saturday and Sunday and Public Holidays.
