The role
This position sits within the Transport Assets Department of MidCoast Council and is responsible for the development and maintenance of Council’s drainage asset management system.
Reporting to the Team Leader Coastal, Flooding and Drainage the position's key duties include the design of drainage systems and development of Council's stormwater / culvert asset management system, undertaking routine asset condition inspections and reviewing Risk Management principles pertinent to the upkeep of drainage assets.
What you'll bring
- Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
- Demonstrated experience in an engineering role with emphasis on asset management related activities
- Sound technical knowledge of civil design and construction processes, including experience in the use of spatial systems
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Salary:
Package is inclusive of:
- Base salary $91,000 - $100,000 (commencing salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate depending on qualifications, skills and experience)
- Civil Liability Allowance (3.5% of base salary)
- Superannuation (11%)
- Leaseback vehicle agreement
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
