The role
We work as one team, we work with integrity, and we care about our customers.
We are looking for individuals who have a commitment to safety and a desire to make a positive difference in our community. As a Swim School Instructor, you will have the opportunity to work across our multi-venue programs and help children and adults learn the lifesaving skill of swimming.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Effectively deliver swimming lessons in line with Council’s Swim School Instructor Manual.
  • Ensure set up and pack up of all equipment is done in a timely and safe manner.
  • Actively participate in Swim School Team Member in house training.

You will have:

  • The ability to swim 25m Freestyle, 25m Backstroke & 25m Breaststroke.
  • The ability to teach children in a group class environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication, organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A current Working with Children Check Clearance number.
  • A current Swim Teacher accreditation from Royal Life Saving, Swim Australia, AustSwim or other recognised licence provider.
  • A current CPR certificate.

What's on offer:

  • Flexible casual opportunity.
  • $38p/h + 11.5% superannuation 
  • Penalty rates earned on weekends.
  • Ability to apply for higher hourly pay rate after 12 months of employment.
