About the opportunity
We are excited to share a permanent, full-time position available for a qualified professional to provide efficient and effective information and records management services to Blacktown City Council.
The ideal candidate will join a high-performing team and should have a strong background in record keeping and information management. This includes managing physical files, digitisation, mail services, and the registration and distribution of records in an Electronic Document Management System.
The role requires a proactive self-starter who can support our Senior Information Management Officer in managing incoming records.
Experience with high volume email management and proficiency in using Content Manager 9 (CM9) is highly desirable to quickly adapt to the role.

Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Suitable work experience in Administration, Records Management and/or completion of the HSC
- Strong attention to detail in a high-volume information management area Information Management Clerical Assistant
- High level computer literacy and ability to use a range of software products.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,156.81 per week
- 35-hour working week
- Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
