About the Opportunity

Cabonne Council has an exciting opportunity for a temporary role from 10 March 2025 until 6 February 2026 within our Community Servies Team as the Community Transport Officer.

The Community Transport Officer is responsible for providing a highly responsive, individual and safe non-emergency medical and social transport to clients within the community including aged people and people with disabilities.

Work teams are led by a supportive and proactive leadership team. You will be provided support and training in line with Council's values to learn the role and ensure our workers are resilient, adaptive and are able to perform to Council and community expectations.

What Do You Need to Be Successful?

Essential

  • Class C driver’s licence.
  • Provide First Aid Certification.
  • Certificate 3 in Welfare / Community Services / Aged Care.

Skills & Experience 

  • Demonstarted experience in the Community Services field.
  • A demonstrated commitment to the principals of equity, access and community participation, in particular transport disadvantage and its impacts on local communities. 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people and community groups.
  • Demonstarted experience working with aged people, young people and people with disabilities with a good understanding of their individual needs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to good quality customer service.
  • Sound time management/organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and including supporting volunteers.
  • Demonstrated administration skills.

      • This position is graded 6-7 ($1232.60 - $1410.90 gross per week).
