About the role

Our Community Development and Participation team are seeking Casual Direct Support Workers to assist with delivering high quality support services to people with disability, and people who are ageing, their families and their carers. These casual roles are based in community and accommodation settings in Moruya, Batemans Bay and surrounds.

Your main duties will include:

  • Personal care, domestic assistance, meal preparation and other practical support.
  • Assisting people to participate in social and recreational activities connecting to community and friends.
  • Assisting with shopping and appointments.

About you

Using your advanced people skills, you will support and enable our clients to live active, meaningful and engaged lives and to enjoy valued roles in our community. Your application will further demonstrate the following:

  • Minimum Cert III or equivalent Qualifications in Disability, Aged Care and/or Community Services and relevant experience.
  • Current driver licence and comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evening, weekends and sleepover shifts.

Previous experience in delivering quality support to older people and/or people with a disability.

Salary Information

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $44.17 to $47.96 gross per hour consisting of:

  • $39.61 to $43.01 base salary (inclusive of 25% casual loading), plus
  • $4.56 to $4.95 superannuation (at 11.5%).

Appointment to this position is subject to the following:

  • A satisfactory outcome as a result of a National Criminal History Record Check.
  • Medical clearance to verify that you are safely able to undertake the duties of the position.
  • A verified clearance as a result of the Working with Children Check.
  • A verified clearance as a result of a NDIS Screening Check.
