About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our casual pool as Library Assistants. The successful applicants will need to be available to work on an "as needed" basis, with the days and hours of work varying dependent on the needs of the Library Service.
In this role, you will help deliver an efficient and effective Library Service to the community, providing exceptional customer service to all library patrons.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:
- Work experience in a customer service role
- Current Class C Drivers Licence and Working with Children Check
- Ability to follow instruction, work autonomously, and communicate professionally
- Demonstrated ability to use a range of Library information resources, and a willingness to provide assistance, training and support to library customers in the use of office, library and emerging technologies
- Ability and commitment to work in Council’s customer service point rosters, including rostered evening and weekend shifts across the span of Monday-Sunday
