Senior Development Engineer
- Salary $106,323.88 to $123,335.16 p/a + super
- Permanent full time position – 35 hours per week
- Work from Home (WFH) options / Flexible Working Arrangements

About the role
Reporting to the Team Leader Development Engineer, this role will see you provide development control engineering, traffic services and assessments for development applications. You will also monitor the engineering construction work associated with these developments and subdivisions.
Duties will include, but are not limited to
- Assess and prepare recommendations and conditions for development and subdivision applications by providing technical advice relating to stormwater management, flooding analysis, traffic and parking, access, construction traffic management, geotechnical and civil infrastructure
- Report on engineering assessment matters relating to developments, subdivision applications, subdivision works certificates and construction certificates
- Co-ordinate endorsement of subdivision linen plans and other conveyancing documents
- Attend to public enquiries and correspondence and provide specialist advice on a range of engineering matters
- Undertake pre-lodgement meetings in accordance with procedural guidelines and provide high quality technical advice
- Ensure subdivisions and/or developments are constructed and comply with Council standards, polices and planning permits
- Conduct engineering investigations, carry out site inspections and attend meetings to ensure all subdivision and/or development works comply with engineering planning permit conditions/requirements and approved construction plans
- Provide expert technical advice for Land and Environment Court hearings, at panel members and on site meetings
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Project management skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Local Government experience desirable but not essential
This role will utilise your experience in developing strong working and stakeholder relationships to deliver agreed outcomes and results.
