Description
The Package: $849.32 - $1,248.31 gross per week + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Trainee Grade 4-10 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26.
Full-time – 38 hours per week. 9-day fortnight conditions will apply.
Are you ready to kick-start your career and master the essential skills of Water Operations in local government? As part of this opportunity, Council will cover 100% of costs for course fees and costs associated, whilst offering valuable industry experience.
In this role you will:
- Learn how to operate water and sewer treatment plants
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of Council’s water supply and sewer assets to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Participate in the construction and repairs of water mains and services.
- Assist in the construction of new water, sewer, and stormwater systems according to specified plans and specifications, while supporting traffic control and implementing erosion and sediment control measures at work sites.
We are looking for someone who:
- Eligible to be registered as a NSW Trainee under the NSW Government Apprenticeship and Traineeship Scheme as well as being able to enrol and complete a Certificate II/III in Water Operations.
- Motivated self-starter with a keen interest in continuous learning and development.
- Possesses a good level of both written and verbal communication skills.
- Has a current P or C class licence
