About the role
The City of Sydney is seeking an enthusiastic individual to assist in processing supplementary valuations, generation and issue of rate notices through the identification and recording of appropriate rates and charges on rateable land.
Working in collaboration with other business units, the Revenue Officer will track changes that impact rates and/or charges (including but not limited to: land title; land use and occupation; ownership; eligibility status; services) to ensure that we meet our statutory obligations and to provide sound advice to all stakeholders regarding land rates and charges.
We're looking for applicants with:
• demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation
• demonstrated ability to work with minimum of supervision and complete high volumes of work within allocated timeframes
• sound working knowledge of financial software applications including Excel.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
