About the Role

City of Ryde Council in partnership with the NSW Government is offering an Architectural Assistant Cadet position as part of the 'Fresh start for Local Government Apprentices, Trainees and Cadets’ Program.

The successful candidate will join City of Ryde’s City Architect team which is responsible for delivering architectural and urban design projects for Council.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, contribute to a range of strategic and architectural projects and receiving mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals whilst undertaking your tertiary studies.

 

Commencing salary: $637.62 per week + Superannuation pro-rata to reflect your actual hours of work.

 

About You

  • Currently studying in the 3rd year (or part-time equivalent) of a bachelor’s degree in architecture, or master’s degree in architecture
  • Good visual communication, computer literacy and design skills
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated experience in digital and/or physical architectural modelling
  • Willing to learn new skills and participant in business improvement initiatives
