Senior Media & Communications Officer

• Annual salary between $86,867 to $106,455 + 11.5% Superannuation

Burwood Council is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Media & Communications Officer to lead the development and execution of high-impact media, communications, and public relations strategies. In this pivotal role, you will drive internal and external engagement, promote the Burwood Local Government Area (LGA), and enhance the public image of Burwood Council through clear and compelling messaging across traditional and digital media channels.

You should have a proven track record in leading media relations strategies, managing digital communication platforms, and producing engaging content across multiple formats. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in digital tools are essential.

Key Requirements:

• A degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline
• A current C Class Driver Licence
• COVID-19 vaccination for all employees (2 Vaccines)
• Willingness to complete a National Police History Check
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment health assessment
