Business Improvement Officer
The Mid-Western Region is located in the Central Tablelands of
NSW, just over 3 hours from Sydney. With it being one of regional NSW's

As the Mid-Western Region continues to grow and prosper at a
steady rate, Council has an exciting
opportunity for a Business Improvement Officer. This position will work closely with the Manager
People and Performance facilitate our Business Improvement initiatives and
Integrated Planning and Reporting that builds a culture of clear strategic
direction and continuous improvement across Council. This is a full-time fixed term position of 12 months. During this time, primary focus of the role will be the continuing review and development of the updated Delivery Program and
Operational Plan, and leading the internal service review program.
Key Accountabilities
- Champion, communicate and monitor
MWRC’s Business Improvement Framework and manage and report on the associated Business
Improvement program, along with the expected outcomes. - Analyse complex information,
research, identify trends and insights, and make data-driven recommendations
to develop initiatives that support business objectives. - Lead, plan and coordinate a
Council wide service review program and develop associated tools to review the
effectiveness, efficiency and appropriateness of Council’s services and track
and monitor the implementation of any recommended improvements. - Facilitate compliance through
audits and action reporting as appropriate. - Communicate and monitor the
IP&R guideline and handbook requirements to document owners, and facilitate
the integration and improvement process. - Provide the People and Performance
Manager support and undertake other reasonable duties as they relate to the
scope of this role, and relevant skills and experience. - To actively promote and
demonstrate the core values and behavioural requirements of the Workplace

To be successful in this role you will have
-
Tertiary
qualification in a relevant field (eg. Business Management, Project Management)
or related discipline or equivalent industry experience - Experience
in managing projects focused on business improvement and service delivery
processes - Demonstrated
experience in implementing continuous improvement methodologies - Demonstrated
ability to undertake research and analysis and to develop performance
indicators, reports and project plans - High
level of computer literacy in particular corporate business systems including
finance, records and customer service management systems - Ability
to analyse and interpret data to produce reports and evidence based
recommendations - High
level working knowledge of Microsoft office suite - Demonstrated
ability to work autonomously or in a team environment - Strong
time management skills and proven ability in setting goals, monitoring progress
and achieving results - Strong
and effective communicator with a diverse range of people - Current
Class C Driver’s licence
The salary range being offered for the position of Human Resources Officer is $3,324.60 - $3,741.90 gross per fortnight (dependent on skills, qualifications
and experience), which equates to an annual salary of $86,439-$97,289 plus superannuation and 1 Rostered Day Off every month.
