About the Opportunity

The Business Unit Support Officer will provide high-standard administrative support to the Economic Development and Tourism Business Unit. Key responsibilities include coordinating daily diary management, meetings, phone calls, document management, purchasing administration, and record-keeping.

The role also involves collecting and collating data, working with team members to improve efficiency, and focusing on customer service, work scheduling, administration, event logistics support, and project functions.

The incumbent will always act professionally and adhere to Murray River Council Policies, Procedures, and department work processes.

What you need to be successful:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Business Administration or relevant area or extensive experience in providing high level administrative support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in diary management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Working with Children’s Check NSW
  • National Police Check

Desirable

  • Willingness to undertake further training and upskilling
  • Experience in a similar role within Local Government
  • Understanding of event administration and operations
  • Understanding and experience of financial software systems
