  • Salary: QLGIA (Stream B) Level B1 – C4 ($63,241.77 – $74,852.23 + 12% Superannuation)
  • Schedule: 8-day fortnight (Monday to Thursday each week)

About the role

North Burnett Regional Council is seeking a skilled and ticketed Plant Operator to join our Civil Construction team in Biggenden. Reporting to the Civil Works Supervisor, you will play a key role in:

  • Constructing new Council, Private, and Main Roads projects
  • Maintaining roads, footpaths, drainage, and other essential infrastructure
  • Operating plant and equipment efficiently and safely

About you

You will have proven labouring experience in a similar role, with the ability to operate various plant and equipment relevant to road construction and maintenance. This includes traffic control procedures, kerb and gutter installation, footpaths, concrete drainage, and related tasks.

As a proactive and reliable team player, you will contribute effectively to a high-performing team that is committed to safe work practices in all aspects of work.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current unrestricted ‘HR’ or ‘HC’ class driver’s licence.
  • Possess a Work Safe in the Construction Industry Induction Certificate (White Card).
  • Relevant plant operator competencies (RII)
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding and often noisy environment.
