About the role

As Assistant Aquatic Centre Manager you will contribute to the health and wellbeing of the Inner West Council community through the support of the management of aquatic and recreation facilities, including gyms, learn to swim and health and fitness programs and ancillary services and programs. The position will support the management of one of Council’s direct service aquatic centres, developing strategies, plans, policies and programs to ensure an integrated and responsive range of aquatic and health and fitness services are available to meet local needs. The role will be based on at one of Council’s directly managed Aquatics facilities and is responsible for supporting management in the work and activities of staff at the centres to ensure the team consistently meets its targets in Council’s Operational and Strategic Plans.

Remuneration

$101,496.20 - $116,384.32 + 11.5% Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications 

1. Appropriate tertiary qualifications in recreation/management or a related discipline and/ or equivalent industry experience
2. Experience in leisure, aquatics, health and fitness centres or related industries and the coordination of community programs, services and facilities, including strategy, policy and program development
3. Experience in coordinating engagement and facilitation to achieve set objectives and a commitment to community development principles
4. Experience in coordinating/managing aquatics operations or equivalent, associated asset, compliance, risk and safety management
