About the role
The City Life directorate delivers personalised and public services to enhance community life, including family, aged, leisure and cultural services.
The role is responsible for working with the Eastgardens Library team to develop and deliver library services to the community.
The span of hours for Libraries is between 8am and 8pm and you could be rostered anytime between these hours to work. Every 6 weeks you will be rostered on a Saturday to work between 9am -12pm.
Create partnerships to support the development of relevant and timely services, programs and events. As well as developing and implementing impact evaluation measures for relevant services to provide advice and enhance the delivery of evidence based, innovative library projects.
You can also expect to:
- Lead a library team and provide advice and support in the delivery of innovative library services.
- Ensure the delivery of early literacy programs, school holiday activities, Home Library Service, adult programs and technology training to promote literacy and lifelong learning opportunities.
- Create partnerships to support the development of relevant and timely services, programs and events.
- Develop and implement impact evaluation measures for relevant services to provide advice and enhance the delivery of evidence based, innovative Library projects.
- Provide input and advice to support Library budget decision making.
- Create or participate in the development and implementation of practices, guidelines, policies and procedures to enhance service delivery.
- Network with other libraries, service providers and other organisations to share information and resources.
About you
We are looking for a someone who demonstrates:
- University qualifications recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- A current Working with Children Check Number.
- Current Driver’s Licence Class C and/or willingness to travel between Bayside Library locations.
