About the opportunity

A permanent, full-time opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced Road Design Engineer to be part of our Asset Design team.

The successful candidate will work on large and complex road designs as part of our Section 7.11 developer contribution road design program, and will undertake engineering surveys, prepare road design plans and cost estimates. 

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with solid experience
• Significant post qualification experience in the survey, investigation and design including estimates for roads, traffic facilities, stormwater drainage and other civil engineering projects
• Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
• Current class C driver’s licence
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service and ability to work within a team environment.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

• Entry level for this position starts at $2,092.02 per week
• 35-hour working week 
• Car allowance
• Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
