The Position
The ICT Operations Support Officer, reporting to the Team Leader ICT Operations, will provide contact support to solve network users’ issue and requests. The role requires the applications of skills and knowledge appropriate to keep Council’s ICT systems available, reliable, secure and with sufficient capacity to meet user demands.
Key Outcomes
- ICT customers can expect that their problems will be solved, and requests fulfilled in a timely manner and within published service levels.
- Resolved incidents and requests are properly documented and closed.
- ICT security measures are applied and maintained.
- ICT assets records are complete and accurate.
- All Council ICT systems are kept up to date, secure, are fit for purpose and provide staff with the technology they require to support the Cassowary Coast community.
- Contributes to the enhancement and optimisation of existing ICT processes and systems.
About You
You will have Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent demonstrated experience in relevant disciplines and certifications in two of the four disciplines, being Desktop, Server, Networking or Security or demonstrated equivalent industry experience.
It is essential that you have the ability to execute against operational guidelines and procedures with minimal direction and can demonstrate extensive experience in the provision of excellent customer service with particular emphasis on incident and service request management and a Current “C” class drivers licence for this role. – See a full list of the essential and desirable Selection Criteria, in the Position Description
