About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor Print Room to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. An ideal candidate will provide a cost-effective printing, graphic design and micrographic/scanning services to Council, external customers and ratepayers.

The duties include:

  • Preparing job specifications and inviting quotations from service providers
  • Liaising with service providers to ensure contracted work complies with position’s specifications and critical deadlines are met
  • Ensuring documentation such as material safety data sheet are current and print room staff are familiar with the content. 

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Tertiary (minimum diploma) qualification in related disciplines
  • Solid work experience in similar role
  • Solid supervisory experience
  • Current class C driver’s licence.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
  • Computer literate
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Availability to work flexible working hours.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,730.04 per week
  • 35-hour working week 
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
