Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. As well as meeting the below criteria:
Essential:
- Certificate III in Public Safety – Aquatic Search & Rescue or willingness to obtain within three months.
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003)
- Current Advanced Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID007)
- Current Provide Pain Management Certificate
- Current Provide emergency care for suspected spinal injury – Cord Care Certificate.
- Current RMS Class C drivers licence
- Current RMS Boating & PWC licence
- A NSW Working with Children Clearance
- Ability to complete an 800m swim continuously in less than 14 minutes.
- Ability to complete to a satisfactory level a surf test which consisting of 600m swim, 800m run, 600m rescue board paddle, 800m run concurrently.
- Ability to perform to a satisfactory level a board rescue and tube rescue.
Desirable:
- ATV certificate
- IRB certificate
- Silver Medallion – Basic Beach Management
- Demonstrated extensive experience working in the beach environment
- Demonstrated experience in four wheel drive vehicle operation
- Experience in daily beach operations, coaching or education experience

- Interview date: Interviews will be facilitated week commencing 31st March 2025, and suitable candidates to progress to testing on Sunday 6th April 2025.
- Package: $76,424 - $81,008 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent role, 38 hours per week, working a 9 day fortnight. Available to work over 7 day spread.
