The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to work with families and communities to promote the importance of preschool education and encourage future enrolments in preschool services.
As a Preschool Liaison Officer, you will undertake community engagement activities in the local and surrounding communities to understand and address the educational needs of families with 2 and 3-year-olds, as well as perform outreach to playgroups and other services supporting parents of toddlers to educate and inform families about the importance of preschool education. You will provide community members and groups with information about preschools within the Bega Valley Shire, including Council's preschools.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds the following qualifications:
- Minimum Certificate III in Children's Services or other relevant qualification
- NSW Working with Children Check clearance
- Criminal Record Check clearance
- Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
- Completion of approved child protection training
- NSW Class C drivers licence
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and importance of preschool education to a child's development.
- Demonstrated ability to form strong relationships with families, community members and service providers.
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and conduct evaluations.
- Skills in influencing, informing and promoting services to adults.
Benefits
This is a fixed term part time position working 28 hours per week for a period of nine (9) months.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $77,293.14 gross per annum (paid pro-rata), comprising of:
- $1333.10 per week base salary
- $153.31 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
