1 x Permanent Full Time - 35 hours, 5 days per week across a 7-day roster
Salary: $96,528.40 to $105,770.45 + 11.5% super

About the Role:
Liverpool Council’s Library and Museum Services operates six libraries, including the Internationally recognised Yellamundie Library and Gallery, Finalist in the IFLA International Public Library of the year 2024. The service welcomes more than 600,000 in person visitors per year, and nearly 900,000 loans.
The Team Leader Library Technology ensures consistent delivery and continuous improvement of library technology services across our libraries and museum. The position is responsible for maintaining and monitoring library software and library specific hardware and building and maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Familiarity with Library Management Systems, PC Booking and Print release software and RFID Technology is essential for the role. The Technology team also supports digital literacy for the community and technology training for staff.
This role will undertake circulation desk shifts across the service as required, including evening and weekend shifts.
About You:
- Completion of degree or post graduate level Library and Information Studies, conferring eligibility for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association or relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a public library and a customer service environment
- Developing and leading a team, including the support, supervision and training of staff
- Contributing and implementing strategic planning, development of business plans and service agreements
- Demonstrated experience with library-based IT systems, including the evaluation and assessment of library technology, including new technologies to improve library services
- Proven ability to evaluate and implement new technology and services, including change management and procedure development.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering IT training
- Advanced knowledge of Library Management Systems, digital technology, personal technology devices and corporate systems
- Problem solving and project management skills
- Strategic planning and budget control
- Class C Drivers Licence
