Narromine Shire Council is always on the lookout for passionate individuals ready to make an impact in our dynamic community. We offer a diverse range of exciting opportunities throughout the year, spanning across administrative, operational, professional, and management roles.
We are thrilled to invite Expressions of Interest (EOI) from individuals of all backgrounds, experiences, and skill sets who are eager to join our team. We’re currently seeking energetic, driven, and results-oriented individuals for various roles, including:
Operational Roles:
Be a part of our vital infrastructure teams in Roads, Parks and Gardens, and Water/Sewer services. Whether you’re interested in hands-on positions as a labourer, plant operator, or general hand, we have a spot for you. A minimum P1 driver’s licence is essential, with additional certifications such as a truck licence, traffic control, chainsaw, or chemical tickets a plus.
Administrative Roles:
Support the delivery of key services, projects, and events with your exceptional skills in written communication, customer service, time management, organisation, and IT/software proficiency. If you hold qualifications in Business Administration, Project Management, or Frontline Management, we’d love to hear from you!
Professional/Specialist Roles:
If you’re a qualified professional with a degree or accreditation in fields like accounting, business, engineering, human resources, information technology, or urban and regional planning, we have exciting opportunities waiting for you to make a difference.
How to apply
To apply for a specific role, you must submit an online application for that position. Applications must include a copy of your resume.
However, submitting your EOI ensures you’ll be included in our talent pool for future notifications and opportunities.
We pride ourselves on being an equal opportunity employer, promoting diversity, inclusion, and equal access for all. People with disabilities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply.
At Narromine Shire Council, we are committed to merit-based recruitment, following principles outlined in the Local Government Act 1993.
