This position is classified as a PACS Band 7 ($88,997 - $97,595 per annum) under the City of Kwinana’s structured remuneration system.

What’s On Offer
A rare opportunity exists for an experienced, committed and vibrant individual to join the Community Services and Partnerships team at the City of Kwinana. This full-time, fixed term position reports to the Coordinator Community Partnerships and Services and works alongside an amazing team of dedicated professionals.

This role oversees the daily operation of the Zone Youth Space, provides leadership and guidance to Youth Officers, coordinates the youth drop-in service, inclusive youth activities and programs delivered from the facility, and across the wider City, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, codes and regulations. 

What You’ll Need
To make an impact in this role, you will have:
•    Substantial experience in a similar or related role, preferably within Local Government.
•    Highly developed working knowledge of issues facing young people including knowledge of Aboriginal culture and issues effecting Aboriginal youth in urban areas.
•    Highly developed knowledge of community development principles and practices.
•    Highly developed team leadership, financial management and corporate planning skills.
•    Highly developed analytical, report writing, data collection and computer literacy skills.
•    Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
•    Tertiary qualification in youth work, community development or similar, or high level industry experience in a related field.
•    Driver’s Licence and willingness to obtain Police Clearance, Provide First Aid certificate, Working with Children Check and work after hours and weekend as required.
