About the role
Step into your next role where your leadership will shape workplace safety and wellbeing and drive meaningful change in one of the world’s most vibrant global cities. As the Executive Manager Safety and Wellbeing, you’ll report to the Executive Director People, Performance and Technology and guide a dedicated team to deliver strategic initiatives that ensure our people thrive in a physically and psychologically safe workplace.
In this role, you will set the strategic direction for workplace health, safety and wellbeing across a diverse organisation. Partner with senior leaders to develop innovative strategies to deliver achieve best practice solutions to work health and safety issues. You will lead our workers compensation and injury management teams to ensure that we deliver a person-centred and supportive experience for our people and ensure we meet the legislative requirements of our self-insurer licence.
What You Will Do
• develop and implement work health, safety and wellbeing strategies for the organisation
• lead and mentor a skilled team of safety, workers compensation and allied health professionals
• partner with divisions to deliver advice and solutions for work health and safety, wellbeing, workers compensation and injury management
• use data-driven insights to identify trends, recommend strategies, and guide impactful decisions
We're Looking For Someone With
• tertiary qualifications in work health and safety
• proven experience in delivering high-quality whole of workplace health, safety and wellbeing programs to address emerging and complex issues
• strong expertise in workers compensation and injury management in a self-insured environment
• outstanding communication and negotiation skills, enabling you to build trust and influence at all levels.
This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
The recommended applicant must complete a pre-employment health declaration, medical assessment and criminal history check.
