About the role
This position is a full-time role in the Recreation Services team based from the Moruya Sewage Treatment Plant. The successful applicant will provide assistance to the Public Amenities Coordinator in the implementation of Council’s Toilet Strategy, including the delivery of capital and maintenance programs and day to day supervision of the Public Amenities team.
Your main duties will include:
- Assisting in the development and delivery of Council’s public toilet network construction and renewal program.
- Assisting in the development and delivery of the maintenance program, including recording and responding to customer service requests and defects monitoring.
- Preparing estimates of costs and assist in the preparation of tender/quotation documents for small projects.
- Processing payment of orders, purchases and contracts, as well as monitor project costs.
- Providing day to day supervision of the Public Amenities team, including participation in the rapid response squad, fostering safe worksites and a positive customer service culture.
- Assisting in conducting risk assessments and monitoring workplace health and safety, including that of contractors and volunteers.
Salary Information
Total remuneration for the role is in the range $2,989.97 to $3,287.93 gross per fortnight consisting of:
- $2,643.75 to $2,910.98 base salary
- $37.84 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance
- $308.38 to $339.11 superannuation (at 11.5%)
A fully maintained Council vehicle for to/from home use is available with this position.
Appointment to this position is subject to the following:
- Medical clearance to verify that you are safely able to undertake the duties of the position.
- A verified clearance as a result of the Working with Children Check.

- Demonstrated experience in delivering a program of small capital projects.
- Ability to assess, monitor and deliver an ongoing program of maintenance works.
- Ability to work without supervision and be self-motivated.
- Sound computer skills and ability to use a range of software products.
- Ability to undertake research and data gathering and recording.
- Ability to undertake a risk assessment and implement appropriate actions.
