About the Opportunity
The Manager of Civil Operations is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the Council's civil and building infrastructure across the municipality, ensuring it remains safe and functional. This role involves coordinating various programs and services that support the implementation of the City of Palmerston Community Plan, including:
• Civil infrastructure and building maintenance and operations
• Tender and contract management
• Project and budget management
• Program development and implementation
• Provide leadership and direction to staff on the Community Plan, helping staff make connections between their roles, customer experiences and the Palmerston community
• Foster collaborative relationships while promoting an effective customer-centric focus and behaviours

The Manager Civil Operations will develop and lead as strong, cohesive and effective team that fosters a culture of continuous improvement. Key focuses of the role include accountabilities, skills, agility, capabilities and providing an exceptional customer's experience.
The role will promote and exemplify Council's vision to meet community expectations, deliver organisational key performance indicators and maintain accountabilities in line with the Community Plan and customer ethos of "people are at the centre of all we do and deliver."
The successful applicant will be required to prove their eligibility to work in Australia, possession of a Current C Class NT Driver's Licence, be willing to undergo a criminal history check and provide documentation regarding their qualifications/ licences prior to City of Palmerston's employment offer being confirmed.
