About the role

This position assists with maintenance within the horticulture services area including Cook Park, roundabouts and street gardens in the CBD area, shrubs, trees, pathways and structures so they are kept in the best possible condition and presentation for the general public.

Job/Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain formal gardens and street gardens including roundabout landscaping.
  • Operate small plant according to standard work practices in liaison with the Team Leader/Supervisor
  • Assist in the implementation of new landscape works with the refurbishment of existing garden areas including formal gardens, street and roundabout landscaping.
  • Irrigation installation and maintenance

So what do you need?

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role working in the maintenance of public open spaces and the maintenance of formal gardens, turf care and landscaping
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • NSW General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • ChemCert AQF3 Chemical Accreditation or similar
