  • Access to Council’s 9-day fortnight arrangement
  • Rostered working hours 3:04am - 12:00pm, Monday to Friday

Your Position:

If you enjoy working outdoors, taking pride in your work, being part of a team, and keeping our streets and public areas clean and safe, this role is for you.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:-

  • Working as a team member undertaking labouring duties such as, but not limited to, removal of illegal dumping, collection of bulky household item, street cleaning using handheld mechanical equipment, and emptying and cleaning of public litter bins
  • Using equipment and tools such as, but not limited to, litter pickers, handheld blowers, brooms, brushes and sweeper vehicle vacuum attachments
  • Driving C-Class vehicles and towing of equipment in accordance with NSW Road Rules & Regulations and approved safe work method statements
  • Carry out minor maintenance of vehicles including washing and daily inspection of fuels, oil and water

To be successful in this role you will have:-

  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence
  • Experience operating waste collection or street cleaning equipment or willingness to learn
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake work with punctuality, self-motivation and enthusiasm with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Sufficient literacy and numeracy skills to understand and follow worksite documentation such as Safe Work Method Statements, and read and follow maps and signage
  • Availability to work out of hours and on weekends as required (overtime paid for out-of-hours work)

Key Requirements:

  • COVID-19 vaccination for all employees (2 Vaccines)
  • Willingness to complete a pre-employment health assessment
