About the Role 

This role will report to the Team Leader - Qualified Trades and work independently or as part of a maintenance team carrying out duties as required in a safe and efficient manner to deliver prompt and reliable service to the community.

  • 36 hours per week worked over 4 consecutive days (Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday)
  • Salary from $73,331.53 - $84,965.51 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation
  • Tool Allowance
  • Uniform, PPE and all equipment provided

 

We’re looking for someone with a relevant qualification/trade certificate and demonstrated experience in Carpentry or Joinery. You will also bring a customer focused approach and can-do attitude to engage and influence key stakeholders to achieve the best outcome for Council and the community. 

 

Qualifications, Certificates & Licences

  • Relevant Qualifications or Trade Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery or relevant experience
  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)

 

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience working independently and working within a maintenance crew
  • Experience in providing qualified trade maintenance services and a demonstrated ability to be accountable for agreed work methods, standard and outcomes
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of plant and/or various equipment common to trades maintenance
  • Understanding of and commitment to WHS practices and EEO principles
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Appropriate written and oral communication skills
