The Opportunity
As the Principal Project Delivery at the City of Perth you will guide and mentor the Asset Renewal Project Team to deliver the City’s annual Asset Renewal Capital Program, successfully and consistently, across all infrastructure and building classes. This role fosters a collaborative and high-performing project management culture, supported by well-defined procedures and risk management practices – ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.
Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager within our Infrastructure and Assets team, your responsibilities will primarily include:
- Assisting with the technical and capital delivery of major project undertakings within the Alliance of Infrastructure and Operations;
- Managing the City of Perth buildings and civil infrastructure Asset Renewal Capital Program from tendering to close-out;
- Overseeing the planning and scheduling of key project delivery activities of the Asset Renewal Project Team, ensuring that their portfolio is delivered on target; and
- Developing project briefs including scope, budget, schedules and programme, and liaising with other departments and stakeholders as required.
About You
To succeed in this role you will possess:
- High-level program and project management experience in civil/infrastructure/building projects, relevant to municipal or urban enhancement projects;
- Experience in the tendering and administration of construction contracts, and experience as a construction superintendent;
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Architecture or an approved tertiary qualification related to construction; and
- Knowledge of program and project management theory, processes, principles, and tools.
