Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a visionary and experienced General Manager to lead their organisation through this exciting period of transformation.

The Council is seeking a dynamic, strategic leader with expertise in financial management, strategic leadership, and cultural change. A proven record in financial sustainability and results is essential. You will oversee long-term planning, budgets, and public funds, driving financial strategy, proactive asset management and accountability with measurable goals. Leading the Council through growth, you will foster innovation, ensure delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, and transform organisational culture. Strong leadership in productivity, strategic implementation and change management is crucial to ensuring smooth transitions and positive outcomes.

Your experience in overseeing the delivery of legacy projects to a high standard and establishing best practice project and asset management will also be invaluable. You will have the ability to lead governance processes, coupled with proven experience in engaging community and key stakeholder groups to deliver customer-focused outcomes. Proven leadership experience with a strong record of delivering results is essential, whether in a comparable role or at a director/corporate level.
