About the opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Technical Supervisor to join our dynamic Blacktown Arts team. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to our upcoming programs and exhibitions on a temporary, 28 hours per week basis.
As a Technical Supervisor, you will be a crucial part of the operations of the Blacktown Arts program and the Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre to ensure the programs are delivered to a high standard, on budget, safely and the centre is well presented.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in business administration or equivalent
- Demonstrated highly developed skills in galleries or one or more theatrical department, i.e. sound, vision, lighting, staging and other technical systems, or event management
- Solid working experience in providing administrative support in a project environment
- Experience in setting up events and exhibitions
- Ability to work in physically demanding situations, including lifting and working at heights.
- High level planning, organising, coordinating and prioritisation skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office software
- Ability to collaborate and contribute as an effective team member
- Working with Children Check valid for paid work.
Desirable:
- Intermediate Rigger’s licence.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,510.58 per week (pro-rata)
- 28-hour working week
