  • ·        Based at Woollahra Council Quarry Street Depot, Paddington
  • ·        Permanent part time - 23 hours per week

About the role

Based within our Open Space and Trees Department and reporting to the Parks Technical Officer, your main responsibility will be to implement adopted park asset management plans, policies and strategies to Council standards.

About you

You will also be responsible for collating and maintaining all existing information on Council’s parks and reserves recreational infrastructure and all related assets within designated asset databases and GIS systems.

Your third area of responsibility will relate to undertaking condition surveys and manage the lifecycle of Open Space recreational infrastructure and all related assets as required to assist maintenance planning and renewal.

Your strong attention to detail, top-notch communication skills and exceptional customer service skills will ensure your success in this role. 

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated relevant experience in financial, GIS or asset management  
  • Demonstrated experience in the use and maintenance of asset databases and related GIS systems
  • Demonstrated competency in financial components of asset management
  • Strong familiarity with Asset Management Plans and their function
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of computer software packages including Word, Excel, Access and email software.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to work within a team
  • Current Class C driver’s licence

Desirable

  • Experience with recreational infrastructure asset condition inspections and valuations
