Senior Marketing Officer - Temporary, Fulltime

Commencing early May, for up to 6 months

Are you interested in a Senior Marketing Officer position within Local Council and the opportunity to join a progressive and innovative City Futures Team?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Senior Marketing Officer to join our City Futures Team within the office of the General Manager. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Brand, this position involves the development and coordination of Council’s branding strategy and the relevant creative outputs including marketing campaigns, Digital Asset Management, communication concepts and imagery. You will engage with relevant stakeholders to enhance and increase public awareness of the brand, it’s values and positioning.
 

What We Offer

  • One (1) Temporary, Fulltime Role - 70 hours per fortnight 
  • Commencing early May, for up to 6 months
  • Salary from $94,961.99 - $110,025.72 per annum (pro rata) plus 11.5% superannuation dependent on the skills, qualifications and relevant experience of the suitable candidate

About The Role  

The Senior Marketing Officer role includes:

Brand Management and Design

  • Ensure consistent branding and design for all projects
  • Manage and train staff on branding resources
  • Oversee signage guidelines and digital asset management

Campaign Planning and Delivery

  • Develop strategic marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with internal partners and use customer insights

Partnerships

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Build relationships to promote Georges River

Corporate Citizen

  • Contribute to City Futures projects and initiatives
  • Champion Council teams to the community

 The successful candidate will have

  • Tertiary qualifications in graphic design or equivalent, and at least five years’ experience in a senior graphic design / brand management role
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of brand collateral, including stakeholder engagement and final design guidelines
  • Demonstrated experience in end to end campaign development and delivery
  • Experience preparing, editing and proofing content (for publication across a range of mediums, both online and traditional print), with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience using online and social media tools to achieve design requirements for marketing
    and community engagement objectives
  • Advanced skill and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat PDF) and CANVA
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and ability to create templates
  • Excellent teamwork skills and willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary team to achieve common outcomes
  • Demonstrate ability to function with minimal supervision and to lead, plan project work to achieve operational and strategic objectives through the establishment of priories and timeframes
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated commitment to EEO, WHS and ethical practice principles

 

Desirable 

  • Experience in the design and delivery of brand marketing strategies and campaign design plans for services, events and facilities
  • Demonstrated skills in video creation and editing skills
  • Demonstrated skills in photography and photo editing for catalogue development
  • Knowledge and understanding of local government and the relevant legislated reporting and communication outputs
