In this role you can expect to:

  • Deliver value for money: Implement and refine the City’s approaches to market and procurement, ensuring that every decision maximises value for money and upholds the highest standards of governance.
  • Foster collaboration: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships across the organisation working collaboratively to align effort and leverage strengths. Your role will be pivotal in achieving successful outcomes through effective teamwork.
  • Use your specialist expertise: Provide expert guidance to the organisation on procurement and purchasing activities. Your expertise will shape important decisions, ensuring that every procurement process is efficient, transparent and compliant.
  • Mitigate risk: Identify and mitigate procurement and supply chain risks, safeguarding the organisation against potential challenges. Your proactive approach will contribute to the resilience of our procurement processes.

To succeed in the is role, you will need to leverage:

  • Proven experience in procurement and contract management.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and address potential risks in a collaborative way.
  • Strong organisational and negotiation skills.

The details

  • A full-time permanent position.
  • Work-life balance with a standard monthly rostered day off or ability to access a 9-Day fortnight
  • $132,953.40 - $149,506.13 per annum + super
  • 17.5 percent paid Annual Leave Loading for when you take annual leave
