We are seeking experienced and professional Library Officers with a passion for customer service.

In this role you will have the following accountabilities:

• Proactively engage customers in the delivery of the library service and experience
• Provide consistent, accurate and professional customer service always, including general and reference enquiries, ICT assistance, and financial transactions
• Ensure efficient and effective processing, maintenance and removal of resources and associated records
• Participate in the issue and return of library resources directly or through self-serve kiosk guidance and ensuring the collections are accessible to all customers
• Assist with the selection of resources for customers, Books on Wheels, Book Clubs, Mobile Library Service, other focus groups and library programs, events, and promotional activities

Our preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and skillset:

• Ability to provide high level customer service, preferably in a library environment
• Strong time management, organisational and negotiation skills
• Experience in the operation of a library, including assisting with the delivery of programs and activities
• Experience and knowledge in using Spydus
• Sound knowledge of and ability to use a range of software systems, cash handling, and EFTPOS transactions
